Step 1
When Googling Kait French I found:
LinkedIn profile and image of headshot
Pitt Athletics/ Pitt News articles.
Platforms on are Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google. Her profiles are all locked, making it hard to find her from Google.
On Facebook Kait posts about Triathlon races, dog and food videos.
Her LinkedIn profile is filled out. She has a picture and a lot of detail about previous experiences.
Her Instagram has a lot about her friends, places she has been and other experiences.
Step 2
Based on what I see from Kait's online identity, I can see that she is athletic, active, a dog-lover and loves her family and friends. She seems to have a fun, exciting life and works hard for what she has. She posts a lot with her friends and family, making me thing she has a good family life.
Step 3
It is evident that Kait is active on social media platforms. She uses it to spread positivity and stays away from negativity on these platforms. If I were interviewing Kait for a job, I would not be able to find anything about her due to her private settings. But if they were public, there would be nothing that would turn me off from her profiles. She can enhance her personal social media strategy by adding more detail and photos from large events that she has experiences.
Step 4
Prior to this class, I had not thought about a social media strategy. I have used it to highlight things that I felt were important to me. I don't like to share things that could cause issues among my followers. I like to have a light presence. It is evident that I do have a decent social media presence from my Vistor and Resident map. However, I always make sure that my information is secure and cannot be found easily. For my own social media and my brand, I like to have it easy going and light hearted. I try not to post or share things that are heavy but more fun videos.
